Palmers Grill n Salad Opens in Larchmont, NY

Palmers Grill n Salad (@palmersgrillnsalad) is a relatively new halal restaurant in Larchmont, NY that serves steak, salads, pasta, and seafood in a white-tablecloth dining room setting.

Lobster Pasta

Food: 8/10
We tried the following items: lobster pasta which was delicious - really rich buttery lobster taste in platter of al-dente linguine coated in tomato sauce. We then tried the New York Strip steak which was cooked medium. It was very tasty, tender, and just had overall “melt in your mouth” bites. It came with a side of rice, which is actually not one of the menu options, however they are introducing a rice side for customers who prefer it. Other side options include mashed potatoes and broccoli. The Branzino was also very good, flavorful, buttery, and was beautifully presented. The Grilled Chicken fell a little short but taste was there. It was just a bit tough to cut into and dry to eat. The Beef Burger was excellent - it had the perfect ratio of meat patty to condiments to toppings. It was juicy and really just a great burger. We also had the Chickpea Salad and Tzatziki with bread as starters and these were very good. For dessert we tried the Almond Cake with ice cream and Baklava. We LOVED the Almond Cake, it was subtle on the sweetness and quite addicting to eat, but could have been just a little bit softer. For drinks we had the following mocktails: Kiwi Lemon, Piña Colada, and Cherry-Mint Spritz which all of us loved.

For the portions you may find that the prices are steep but this restaurant aims to emulate finer-cuisine steakhouse quality with the menu items as mentioned above. Be prepared to spend a lot as you’ll find many things on the menu that you’ll want to try.

Atmosphere: 8/10
The restaurant gives off a comforting atmosphere in a white tablecloth setting. It’s very colorful inside and has plenty of seating (seats about 50 people).

Service: 9/10
We were the only ones there so service was geared towards only us. However all the staff are super nice and we’re very open to feedback.
