Halal Portuguese Restaurants Hosts New Brunch Menu

This one’s for the breakfast enthusiasts!

Estepadas (@espetadas.us) is a halal Portuguese franchise restaurant located in Piscataway, NJ. This is the only location in the USA (several restaurants are located in the Middle East) they recently introduced their weekend breakfast menu featuring some delicious omelettes and diner classics! Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 12pm.

Steak Omelette

Food: 9/10
We got the steak omelette, spicy pulled beef omelette, French toast, hashbrowns, wheat toast, and freshly squeezed orange juice. The omelettes were packed with flavor and we were surprised by this as sometimes the egg itself is not seasoned. The steak and pulled beef were perfectly tender and cheese was melty just the way we like it. Each omelette is paired with salsa and sour cream. The spicy pulled beef did not really meet our expectations of “spicy” but it had a good kick to it as it was packed with different peppers and paired with a poblano sauce. The French toast was absolutely delicious and comforting. We also really enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice!

Price: 7/10
The food is a bit on the pricier side but portions are good and there aren’t many restaurants serving up elevated “diner-style” breakfasts.

Atmosphere: 10/10
The space is big with ample seating and nice traditional decor. You can order at the counter or be seated and have the food brought to you.

Service: 9/10
The family that runs the restaurant is so sweet and accommodating! The food did take a short while to come out.
