Halal Hibachi in Queens

Halal Hibachi exists in the boroughs, specifically Fresh Meadows, Queens.

ONLY the chicken and filet mignon are halal, and must be requested upon entering. There is no pork served here. There is also no rice wine used in the sushi rolls.

We went five years ago and figured we should post an updated 2022 review!

Hibachi Filet Mignon & Chicken

Food: 9/10
We got the following hibachi combinations: filet mignon & chicken combo with fried rice, lobster & filet mignon with fried rice, scallops & filet mignon with lo mein. There’s really no way you can go wrong with these dishes, as we can see that the hibachi chefs have mastered the flavors. The filet mignon is cooked to your liking, in our case, medium rare. It was so soft and flavorful. Each hibachi order is cooked with vegetables and comes with egg drop soup and salad, and ice cream to end. We also ordered the Dinosaur Roll which contains spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and avocado on the inside and soft shell crab tempura wrapped on the outside. Super delicious. We also got the Out of Control Roll, which has avocado, mango, and jalapeño on the inside and seared halal filet mignon wrapped on the outside. Personally didn’t expect the filet mignon to be thin, moreso thought it would be thick on top of the roll.

Price: 7/10
Prices are more on the expensive side. Costs of supply has gone up and that’s likely a contributor to their menu prices. An average hibachi plate will cost you about $30-$37. It was $10 less in price years ago.

Atmosphere: 9/10
It’s an open and spacious atmosphere. They have many hibachi tables. The interior is sleek and slightly dim.

Service: 8/10
While the entertainment portion of the hibachi was fantastic, the service itself is standard.
