Food: 8.5/10
We got Nan Gyi Kaukswe Thoke which is Burmese udon noodle salad, Dum Pot which is Burmese Chicken Biryani, Ohno Kaukswe which is Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup, Keema Palata which is a fried thin flatbread stuffed with potato and minced chicken, and Mont Lat Saung. The Burmese Udon Salad was packed with spices and fragrant flavor and the texture of the noodles were chewy. Dum Pot was amazing as it was chicken biryani - to be honest we were expecting maybe a different channel of flavors as this was a Burmese take on biryani but it really tasted like Hyderabadi biryani. The Coconut Chicken Noodle soup was fantastic and had the consistency of porridge that just warm and hearty and we liked that it was mild in spices. The Keema Palata was crispy, and the fillings of potato and minced chicken were perfect. They provide a sauce with it but we didn’t need it. To end off we had Mont Lat Saung, a coconut drink with green rice flour jellies and syrup, it’s so good and has a salty element to it.
